Villagers through Streetpass

Ah yes. A feature that some people fear that a random villager might move into their town unannounced. While not many people bring their 3ds outside anymore, I'd like to ask you folks on the villagers you got and the experience you had with them during the early days. I for one, streetpassed many people during my daily commute to high school and got three villagers as a result with one that moved out a long time ago. Canberra was the first villager I received through streetpass (she is the one that moved out of my town). My second villager is Tangy. She's an awesome orange cat and still lives in my town to this day. She originated from Sogaland according to her. My third and final villager is Kitt, who is a kangaroo. I forgot which town she originated from, but her town tune is a portion of I Believe in You from Mother, so I suspect that person is a fan of the Mother series. Honestly, I'm glad I had the courage to bring my 3ds during high school or I would have never met those villagers that I made memories with. Share your experiences if you still remember them!

I haven't used ACNL with streetpass that much actually I only have one villager from that. I don't carry my 3DS (it's a 2DS actually so wouldn't be very practical to carry it around ) on me so streetpass isn't really used much here. But I did use streetpass when I was playing locally with a friend last August, we were playing at my school after class and we later went to the mall and played some more. He's one of the few people I know personally who has a 3DS and especially ACNL. I got Dotty from his town and she's still in my village to this day.

I have never streetpassed anyone randomly because I don't bring my 3DS out of the house. By the time I got a 3DS, the game was several years old and it's unlikely I would have gotten have a streetpass in my small town anyway. My husband and I have passed a bunch of villagers back and forth through streetpass, though. I didn't mind most of the time, but sometimes it would have been nice to get a truly random villager because we already knew each other's villagers so well.

Oh! I have a story!

My ex and I would take our 3DS's everywhere with us. We had quite a few people in our friend circle to play with so we would street pass regularly. I had Nana my favorite monkey and she had Shari my least favorite monkey.

Well one day I wake up to find Nana in boxes. I was devastated. She had been my best villager for months and I had no way to stop her from leaving. Resigning to my cruel fate I watched her pack up.

Little did I know Shari was ALSO getting ready to move. She wasn't paid much attention to since (not my island not my problem)

Well, Nana says her goodbyes. i still have a picture of her letter She moves out the next day. Well a plot RIGHT next to my house pops up.

It's Shari.

My world goes dark. I traded the brighest most kind monkey for this soulless creature? She not only sets her house down where I have no choice but to see her, she also destroyed my only golden rose I had.

I hated her.

I spent weeks trying to get rid of her. Pitfalls. Nets to the head. Blocking her paths. Pushing her around. I felt like a bully. She never quit. It all didn't faze her one bit. I was pulling my hair out trying to get her to move out.

Well at some point I resigned to letting her exist on my island. When my ex bounds up to me and shows me that Nana. My baby. My angle. Moved into her town.

My ACNL life spiraling, blinded by betrayal as Nana seemingly forgot her wonderful time with me. Shari would stare at me with cold calculated eyes.

I did the one thing that might save my game play experience. I hit the big red button and deleted my town. Everything I worked for. Every public works. Every hybrid flower I grew and all the friendships I forged.

All to get rid of Shari.

I regret it as I lost motivation to play but some part of me knew it must be done. To this day I hate Shari. I've yet to have the misfortune of running into her. But I pray daily she stays FAR far away from my island.

OMG what a plot! Sorry about Nana, I think she its a cutie, she was once in my camp but I dont have a free space by the time, it girts me pretty bad, since Nana its the name of my 16 years old dear dog.
