Villagers Replacing Furniture with Items You've Gifted Them

If a villager replaces a piece of their furniture with a gift you gave them (such as clothing), do they ever bring that furniture back?

For example, I was gifting Aurora clothing, and now she's replaced both of her Aquarius Urns with them. Is there any way that she can bring them back, or is it only possible by gifting her those pieces of furniture?

They actually cycle some of their furniture out, so you may see the urns again.

Her interior is beautiful. I think over time she can bring them back. I hope so anyway!

I've noticed that villagers will display clothing if they don't have a dresser or wardrobe. It might be worth gifting one of these to them to stop them from displaying clothes as furniture!

Fingers crossed his interior goes back to normal!

They can rotate it back unless they gift it to you... I had to regift marshal so many things because he kept giving me furniture from his house to display clothes instead Not in exchanges but they'll do that spesifically as thought bubble events

I'm crossing my fingers for you! Now I know to just keep giving my villagers fruit from now on.

Okay, I'm glad to hear that! I guess if they give us their furniture, we can technically just give it back and hope they use it again.

I think it depends on the item. If they like the item, they'll tend to keep it out longer I find until something else they like will replace it. For example, my Julian didn't have a music player in his default home so I gifted him one (He's playing Space K.K. if anyone is wondering) and he's never switched it out since. The other things I've given him though tend to switch around.

With some of my other villager gifts they'll rotate back to their original but often times not :/
