Villagers not requesting favors?

Hey y'all!

I am out at night looking for scorpions and tarantulas, but I have also been talking to my villagers to see if I can do some favors for them in the meantime. I'm trying to get pics, so I have a bunch of rare bugs and fish stocked up in my storage in case they ask. But, I have run into a problem. I can't seem to get favors to do! They're all like "look at the very first letter you wrote to me!" or something like that. Any suggestions?

Maybe you can try and do the diving suit trick. Let your player character swim in the ocean for 5 (I think) minutes, and then go around and see if any of your villagers ping you, and ask for a favor. This trick is often done for receiving pwp requests, but I think i works for favors too

I will try and do that once I buy myself a wetsuit. I haven't seen the striped suit, and that's my favorite one. Thank you for replying.
