Villagers Moving Out

I've heard that if a villager asks you to move out and you let them, from that day until the day they leave, no other villagers will come up to you and ask to leave. Is this true? I'm just making sure, since Miranda moves out on the 21st.
(Side Question: Will villagers ask you for fruit if you don't have any? As in none on the trees, in storage, etc.)

Yeah, no villagers will ask to move out at the time that someone else has decided to.
And they can ask you for any fruit (even if you don't have it on you or if it's not in your town for that matter).

YES to the fruit! I hadn't planted certain trees in my third town and they were saying, "PLEASE get me a peach! I know we don't have any here, but PLEASE get me a peach!" Little creeps!
