Villagers Moving Out Question

I'm so sorry if this has been asked before, but I was hoping to get a little clarification about when villagers move out. I hadn't had a villager move out in 15 days, and today a villager pinged me to move. It was a villager I wanted to keep, so I said no. Will I need to wait another 15 days for another villager to ping to move, or is it entirely random? Is there a good way to get a villager to move quicker without TTing? I've tried ignoring, but it doesn't seem to be working.

You will have to wait a random amount of time for the next move-out request. It can take as little as 5 and as long as 20 days for the next one. Other than waiting, you could always force villagers out with amiibos/the campsite if you happen to own cards/get a camper.
