Villagers items in retail

I've been trying to send out the original villagers from my cycling town. I don't buy them furniture and although it feels strange to do it but I tell them no when they want their catch-phrases and greetings changed. If I do visit them I leave when they ask me if I want to have something from their home. ( It's a struggle sometimes, esp with the sloppy set - drool ) but I noticed that some of the villagers have added items from their home in the flea market.

If they get adopted and the items are still in retail are they missing from the homes when they get set up in their new town?

Should I buy their items and mail it to them and fill up the flea market with items that are hugely overpriced so they won't buy it?

If they are adopted their item in retail will say another villager owns it. So no, they will not have it in their other town.
Even if you buy their items and send it to them, they sometimes won't put it in the original spot, unless that designated spot is empty.

Well I'll try my best. They'll just have to adopt them as they come.

what I did with Ankha when she was going to be adopted, was I gave the pyramid that was in Retail to the person who adopted her in case they wanted to try to get her to have it.
