Villagers house placement

With the resent development in my town I realize now that I didn't leave much room for villagers to put their houses :/

I have three good spots right now but I'm not entirely sure if they can put their houses there. Here's some pictures (the rose pattern is where their houses would go)









I'm not sure how far from a cliff the houses have to be and the events plaza is only 1 square away. Also in the second picture there's a log bench and I don't know if it's to close or not.

Do you think it's possible for villagers to put their house in these spots?

It is possible that they would be moved down a bit, but close. Be careful with those flowers, villagers seem to run over the things. It would be possible for some of them, but with the one space away plaza, no.
That is what I think, but I'm not that much of an expert. You should wait for other replies too.

Villagers cannot move 1 space away from town tree. They have to have at least 2-3 spaces away from town tree.

I think that they will be too close to your plaza.

it's been said that the town plaza needs a crazy amount of free space, i'm fairly certain it's around 3-4 spaces. don't forget that your villagers houses also need 1 space all around, and that that space cannot overlap with the 1 space around PWPs or the town plaza (so really it's like 2 spaces between a house and a PWP). the houses near the cliff should have enough room judging by your picture though. good luck with the plot resets, that's going to be rough, :C

Alright so a villager needs 3 spaces to be away from the plaza

Not sure if this helps but villagers can move 1 space from cliffs/rivers unless they are building their house with the door facing the cliff/river in that case they can build their house within 2 spaces of. I can confirm this because 6 of my villagers have their houses next to cliffs/rivers lol. Also I have one villager within 4 spaces of the plaza and two villager within 2 spaces of a PWP
