Most of my villagers stubbornly cling to Meli, but I've got Penelope calling me "darling" and Shari/Zell calling me "Lady M". At least they know authority when they see it.

I like the cool nicknames. Like almost all my villagers call me Princess. Previous ones I liked were Amiga, mon amie (not sure what it means), chica, and scout. But I hate ones like lady s, and other names revolving around the first letter of my name.

I've had them come up with some wild names- mostly food. I've heard cupcake, muffin, lamb, so I started creating my own, from mayor, hey you, boy, mister, man, megaman, hero, and they're only getting funnier and funnier hearing those from different personalities.

I think it depends on the personality of the villager.

avoid lazy villagers because they call you names of food. I'm "cookie" right now suggested by Beau. Stitches called me "dumpling" in my resetted village.

peppy villagers tend to call you using cute names. like "little-M"

i suggest go for the jocks. they call you using cool names like CHAMP
