Villagers Getting Rid of Crafting Table?

I don't know if I'm just getting unlucky or something, but a lot of my villagers are getting rid of their crafting table. They're not replacing it with new furniture or anything. I usually like to go into their house throughout the day to see if I can get a recipe from them, but they don't what their tables anymore.

I don't know if this is just something that happens over time. I'm of course gonna gift them new crafting tables to see if they'll display it their house, but some of them had tables that went really nice with their furniture, and I don't want to ruin their house with an ugly crafting table. Additionally, it's the only thing they're getting rid of without just replacing with something else.

Yesterday it was just Sherb and Piper, but now Zell and Nana have followed suit, and I just haven't seen the inside all the rest of my villager homes today.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I think its only temporary until they are ready to craft? Because I often see villagers with no crafting tample and later when I go visit their house, they are crafting at it.

Oh okay, that's weird. Hopefully it's just that then.

As @Lavulin98 pointed out, villagers only bring out crafting tables when they craft. Otherwise they have normal houses, which I am extremely thankful for. I'd hate it if every villager had wasted decorating space by adding a crafting table to their home.

I was asking b/c they used to just have their tables displayed like normal. Some of them still had them displayed even when they were not crafting. I don't know if it just the villagers who have specifically themed houses that will keep them displayed though, b/c midge has a cute crafting bench and cute furniture, and her table is still displayed even though she wasn't crafting.

they'll have it out as long as they haven't made enough furniture, if that makes sense? merengue moved in via amiibo and didn't start out with much for me, had her crafting table always up until she made a soft serve lamp? (not sure about the exact item anymore, but it went where her crafting table would normally be) once they've accumulated enough furniture, they'll pull it out when they need it, but it isn't a standard thing. for example, gayle just moved in and has her crafting table on display because she doesn't have much furniture yet, whereas dobie has been on my island for a while and has full interior decoration going on, so it's usually not there.

IIRC, the starting villagers will always have their crafting tables out. The crafting table for others may not despawn for a while as you've noticed
