Coco looks like the moon? Um idk
If you're going to go with just color, maybe Kiki. Something about black cats vaguely remind me of outer space.

Someone mentioned Ribbot. I think he's a good choice. I also think Coco would be good too.

Ribbot the robot frog is perfect.
The Superhero villagers, Kid Cat, Big Top, Agent S, and Rocket could work.

Stitches could like be an alien bear doll? Don't think of it too scary though. 
I also think Poncho could work, he has a dark colour and a sort of star on his head. :3
Those with white eyes or other different eyes, to be kind of aliens: Biskit for example.
Lucky could be a haunted alien or something too.
Ribbot has already been said, but how about Wart Jr.?
Astrid has been said (which I think is a rather good pick), Marcie also has some make-up that looks starrish.
And Sprinkle.. I just feel like she fits, for some reason. Kind of the name, but also the look of her.
That's all I can think of that haven't been said yet. I'm sure you can use lots of other villagers too though, house themes can already be enough and certain colours can also refer to galaxy. I really like the theme idea, I will be curious to see how you're going to pull it off!

Mostly interiors, because I don't want some weird villagers living in Galaxie. (Yes that's my town name)
So yeah, just interiors.
