So I recently spent quite a fortune buying outfits for my villagers only to find out that next day, they had switched back to their original clothes. Is this normal? I see villagers in other towns wearing outfits people pick out for them, but mine refuse to wear anything past the day I give it to them. Looking for answers, thank you <3

I've seen them switching back and forth. They'll wear a different outfit in a day, then come back to the original one, or a third one. I guess it's a nice thing to think they have this fashion 'choice'... So maybe in one day or another you'll see them wearing them again!
Thank you! I actually like that, the fact that their AI allows them to switch. I was hoping my bells weren't going to waste. I also just went into one of my villagers homes and he had the poncho I gave him set up as an item so now I also know there's a possibility they can put it up in their homes. Thank you again <3
They also store some clothes on their wardrobes! You can even check them and a balloon with the clothes icon will display showing what's inside
