Villager's changing interior

I don't like it when villagers change their interior.

Molly's house was fine the way it was. But after a week since she moved, she has been selling her furniture like crazy!

The only thing I can do is buy the furniture, keep it and when she asks for new furniture, then give it back to her.

You can also mail her furniture back to her. That way you don't have to wait for her to ask.

@OP just fill all the slots at retail with mushrooms or smth. i actually prefer if my villagers changed up their houses because some of theirs looks kinda bad.

Yeah, that's an issue. I had Muffy in my town once and at some point her house only had like 3 objects because she kept putting things on Re-Tail. Now I just filled it to stop villagers from putting things there.

No exclusives like the cardboard and sloppy sets anymore, but I have some of those objects already, so I don't really miss them. If you wanted any of them you could just probably get them on this forum somehow. I'm sure there are people selling them.

The cardboard set also shows up in the lost-and-found at the police station, I think. I've been gifted a couple of pieces from the set by villagers as well.

Oh, they do? I don't think I've ever had that happen to me, either the lost and found or villager gifts. If it did, it was once, maybe twice.

I like having my villagers switch up their rooms! Makes them feel more unique and individualized than the same villagers someone else might have! Plus I love seeing them put items i've mailed to them in their homes!

I used to make my villagers buy my fossils at high as prices, and they'd end up displaying them in their houses. Especially Francine and Rosie's houses. Francine had random junk in her house, like a regal bed mixed in with a crane game, a couch and a dresser plopped at the corner. Just. Ugh.

In some ways, I don't like villagers changing their house interiors - for example Marina's as she has quite a lot of the Lovely Series & it really looks out of place if she swaps it for something out of the Robo Series etc. But for most people, I don't mind if they change it as change within their houses can be quite nice & some furniture can look nicer to me than their original furniture. ^-^

I would just fill Retail with highly priced furniture so they don't have much of a chance to swap furniture within their house if you're not happy with them doing it.

I would do that, but then I would miss out on the sloppy set. I sold a few of the items by mistakes already. I thought they were reorderable

I've never understood people wanting to change interiors of their villagers, for me it takes away the real life feel (of course, I tt, so i don't have the real life feel either.) but to each his/her own. I've been working on making nan's house look better (i used to send my villagers stuff that would go for low bells back when i didn't have a garbage can in my house, so everyone's house is terrible :c )
