So, Lolly pinged me to tell me that she was going to move. Of course, she's a permanent resident, and I said no. TT the next day, Stitches asks me to move. There's supposed to be a 4-5 day gap when no one asks to move/leave. I guess when after this happens, talk to all of your villagers before they move away. I hope this helps newer users and to warn other players!

My heart skips a beat when Lolly pings me to move. I MASH for her to stay.

But yeah, I can vouch for this. Yesterday, Pietro was thinking about moving. I eventually decided on wanting him to stay. Today, Walker wanted to consider moving. He's staying, too.

I can also confirm that this happens. It's happened to me on multiple occasions, which is one of the reasons why I stopped time traveling.

I've had Flurry ping to move, and then Stitches the next day. Same with Bunnie and Ruby in my other town.

idk where the rumor that this can't happen came from. this can definitely happen. u cant feel safe even a day after someone asks to move s:

doesnt really concern me though because it always takes 5 days for a villager to be in boxes anyway

I have read that the chances of a ping increases every day after a refusal to move.

So the very next day has a % chance to have a villager ping
Day 2 has a greater % chance
Day 3, Day 4, and by Day 5 I have read that there is a 100% chance to ping after the 5 days previous.

But definitely it can happen the very next day. The pings. SO FRUSTRATING.

And I have said this before, but I truly hope that the villager moving system will change for the better with this next update.
It has to!

I think you are safe if you let someone move. I had Twiggy ping today to leave and I said yes so I think I am OK to concentrate on my other town for a few days.

Sometimes if I know that they are thinking about moving I wait at least a day before saying no.
At least I have a day without pings. It gets stressful sometimes.

This is definitely true, i've had villagers do this in one of my other towns. However i've never had it happen in a main town so I usually just look for villager rumors to find out who's moving.

Thats why I tt one day at a time and talk to all my villagers everyday. Its tedious, but keeps them all in my town!

Do people generally dislike having villagers ask to move on the regular? Because while I can see why it'd be stressful when you want to keep all of your villagers, whenever I don't have 10/10 villagers I like, I'm always sooo happy when I get pings nearly every day. The faster they can get out, the better! In my opinion, if you have one villager out of ten that you really want to leave, it would be quite frustrating to have to wait five days every single time for another 1 in 10 chance that they might ask you.

I've had that happen a lot. When you say no to a villager moving it just gives somebody else the opportunity to ping to move the next day. Usually it's 4-5 days, sometimes longer. But I have had it several times quite close together.
