Villagers and doorplates/wreaths

Has anyone given a villager one of these? Do they actually put it on their door or do they put it on their walls? Can we put them on their doors? Thanks

They do put it on their doors, but they take them down sometimes (particularly seasonal ones.) we cannot place them on their doors, but they can.

yeah I gave lucky a bone door plate and skull doorplate. The ones I've given him, have been on there for a while. So no need to worry about them taking it down.

I usually mail them to my villagers, but they do put them on their doors.
I've only really sent my villagers the flower wreaths because I like the way they look!
