Villagers always on Main Street?

So Lolly moved into my town a few days ago, and every day since then she's been on my Main Street. I've seen her in her house maybe once, and I've never seen her walking around town. Has anyone else had this happen, or know how to get her away from Main Street?

I often have similar trouble with Colton, it seems like if I want to see him I have to check every museum exhibit and shop until I find him in the last place I check. Try leaving the game and getting right back on, it usually changes which villagers are out and about and which ones are at home.

I restart the game a couple times a day, but she'll still be on Main Street.

I wonder if it maybe has to do with just moving in and a low friendship level?

I've noticed villagers I never talk to are hardly in my town, yet 9 out of 10 now are always in it at all times (since I talk to everyone atm). I'd suggest maybe just talking to her more and she will eventually stay around your town, but I'm not entirely sure if that's why she goes to main street in the first place D:

Have you been spending a lot of time in the stores, museum and other places. The villagers will start showing up there.
Three weeks ago I knew where the bugs were spawning and the villagers started following me. I had 4 villagers crowded in the area that I wanted to catch the scorpion.
