Villager walking then gone the next day?

This may be a possible glitch or something but a few days ago, I was playing on my sister's character (she's the second file) and picking up flowers. Pietro was walking around and I did a few tasks for him (deliver a shirt to Diva, bury a time capsule and get him a Apple) I saved, I opened up my file and watered some flowers (obviously I saved and then went to bed.) Then next day, I loaded up and Pietro wasn't there. His house was gone. I didn't time travel or change the clock on my 3ds. Was this a glitch or something??

A villager will always stay in the house all day before the next day he/she moves away. That is weird because he shouldn't have been walking around on packing day. I never heard or seen of that before

That's strange are you sure he wasn't planning on moving? Did Isabelle tell you someone was moving?
