Villager suggesting PWP

If a villager suggests a PWP, do you have to build it? Does it have any effect on the relationship with that villager?

i don't think so??? well at least nothing i've read of. I always get suggestions and build an eternity later, i dont see any difference in friendship levels

I have rejected tons of PWP and none of my villagers have suggested to move.

First of all, who said you were forced to build public works projects?

And no, PWPs have nothing to do with friendship levels what so ever.

No, like it says, it's just a suggestion. You can't build every PWP because the max in 30 and there is bound to be more than 30 on the list.
