Villager Stuck in Place

Hello!

I think I'm currently experiencing the glitch where a villager stands in place. This is particularly affecting Wade.

I had a friend on my island, and we got disconnected. I restarted, and he was first just standing still by his house. I saved the game, closed it, started again, he was then by the plaza. I tried going to my friend's island and coming back, and he was still there when I got back. Saved again, the main screen shows him at the plaza. Closed the game, restarted, and then the screen shows him standing by his house, still not moving though. I had my friend come back to my island, he talked to him, then left. Still nothing. He came back again, then left, still nothing.

I'm still able to talk to him. He takes his net out, but just stands there. If I push him, he reacts, and if I push him again and make him sad, he gets all sad, but he still doesn't move around. I have used reactions toward him, which he does react to, but still nothing unfortunately.

He is essentially teleporting around my island, but just standing still. I have even tried the radio trick just in case, and still nothing.

Has anyone experienced something like this, and if so, what helped fix this?

I had this with C.J. a while back once. It should fix itself when the next day rolls over.

This glitch has been here since spring. I had it happen with Stitches. It resolved itself after a few days, so it's nothing serious. You might also want to try just shutting down your console and turning it back on again just as a basic troubleshooting thing if you haven't already done so.

I had this happen with one of my villagers, I think. They just went back to normal the next day so I have no idea what causes it.
