Villager stuck in boxes

I did an online trade with someone and my villager is stuck in boxes. Do they have to switch the day in order for my villager to move there? I’m so confused I’ve tt days and he’s still in boxes

When someone adopts your villager, they will immediately move out. When you try to enter their house, you'll get some text along the lines of, "I've moved out. -Villager Name". Because of this, the time on their island doesn't actually matter since your villager should be gone from your island before the villager adopter even left. I'm not sure what's going on here or how to fix this bug, though.

I’ve heard of that bug, but I can still enter his home. So that’s why I’m so confused

Sounds like a big fat glitch on your end... my only suggestion is to contact Nintendo, cuz that ain't normal. Or just wait for it to be patched I guess lol

Does the villager still talk about moving out when you talk to them? Maybe if another player tries to adopt them that will get them to be unstuck?

This the adopting player leave through the airport or through the minus button?

Well she said she glitched but I think she left with the minus button, so she came back and talked to him again and left through the airport. I eventually had to use an amiibo card through the campsite to force him out, and that worked. Thank god!!
