Ok so everyday i talk to multiple villagers in my town to see if anyone is moving and if no one is they will say certain things related to rumors, but today i have talked to 4 villagers and nothing this is a first and i am getting worried(i have anxiety).

I am wondering could it be because i have a sick villager?

Villagers would rumor about a sick villager too. They would tell you to check up on them and stuff.

Could there be an event in your town and that's why they don't gossip?

Does anybody know if i cant get any rumors because a villager is sick

i have a sick villager too, but someone told me wolfgang was thinking of moving so i don't think it's bc of your sick villager. have you tried saving & quitting then rebooting the game to see if someone has anything to say/will ping you?

I had a sick villager and it was a week before I got the move out ping.
That's the longest I've gone without anyone pinging to move.

u are safe for the next 4-5 days from the last ping u had gotten . If u have a feeling certain day a villager will ping to move. try move forward a few hours.

* i had never lost a village due to TT

^ This is what you should do. You can leave your game for a few hours and go back to it. I find that villagers a more likely to ping if you are absent for a while.

If you're super worried, you can TT forwards a few hours, but really as long as it's still during the same day and they aren't close to being asleep yet, you'll be fine. :)

So i don;t have to worry because a villager is sick?

I still cant get a rumor or someone to tell me if someone is moving out the last time someone moved out was on the 4th btw

I had Skye sick the other day, and I always check that there isn't anyone moving via rumours too, but those days they either took FOREVER to tell me or didn't at all if I remember correctly, so I think it might be to do with your sick villager.

I do know that villagers can move while another villager is sick though, so what I would do if you're worried, is start the day with a new character (if you can) and check all the villagers inside their houses. If no-one is in boxes you're safe, and you can load your mayor in peace :D

In my experience villagers can move when someone is sick but you will not get the rumour dialogue to confirm that no one is moving, as they will gossip about the sick villager instead. I don't know if you will still hear rumours that a villager is thinking of moving.

I just check for pings very carefully when a villager is sick, making sure I've spoken to everyone recently because if you haven't spoken to them in a week or more they will not ping. I will also give the sick villager medicine every day so they get better as soon as possible. If I forget until the evening and the store is shut, I will deliberately get stung by bees and then talk to an uchi (I think this may work with peppies too) and they will then give me medicine that I can give to the sick villager.

Villager gossip is more or less random. I've gone without getting any dialogue about it for days, so I've never liked it as a method of checking whether someone is moving or not. When someone is ill or thinking about moving that does make your villagers more likely to gossip about it, but when it comes to moving, it can take a while. I once had my villagers gossip to me about someone who was thinking about moving and when I talked to that villager, the move-out date was just 3 days later.

If someone has moved out or pinged you recently, it's possible that nobody is thinking about moving yet. Sometimes villagers will think about it one day later, sometimes they take several days to start thinking about it.

If you're very worried, you can always check. Set your 3DS calendar over two weeks from now and start the game as a new character. When Porter gives you the map of the station, check whether anyone is missing from the map (if you want to be extra safe, you can visit the villagers who are indoors and see if they're in boxes, but I don't think that's necessary). Don't go to the town hall at any point and once you're done checking, quit without saving. Set the 3DS calendar back to your original date and load the game as your mayor. If someone was missing from the map, go find them. If they don't ping you, talk to them 5-6 times and see if they mention moving. If they don't, save, quit, reload, and go talk to them a few times once again. Do that until the villager pings you or tells you in conversation that they want to move. You can then say no. Just make sure that nobody is sick and that there are no events coming up in the present, or they may not ping you. If nobody is missing from the future map, it means that nobody is thinking about moving in the present (though they can start thinking about it tomorrow, for example).
