Villager rumors about me

So, since i arrived at the game all my villagers started to gossip about me being a "freshman mayor". this rumor never ended and it really bugs me out. does someone knows if this will ever end? or have experienced the same? if someone knows if that is a bad or good rumor let me know. by the way i am a perfect mayor, always talking and doing my villagers tasks, cleaning town, etc.

Freshman mayor is just one of many things that your villagers can call you. It's the first rumor that will stick with you until you do enough of something else to trigger a different rumor.

I have been called a Flower Fan, Civic Leader, Shopaholic, Pro Listener, and currently I'm a Bell Pincher. None of the rumors are inherently good or bad as they don't affect your game. Some are just more pleasant to be called than others.

I've been called the "Stump Maker" for the longest time because I was landscaping and cutting down trees. After major landscaping and listening and completing villagers' requests, now I'm the "Pro Listener" The rumours come and goes but sometimes a villager will ask you if the rumour about you is true and if you say no, a new rumour will circulate (this was the case for me but I've never heard much about this in-game mechanism and cannot verify for you)

I don't play NL as much, but I get those alot, I'm always called pro listener, it never ends and it doesn't annoy me a bit.

I'm usually called pro listener or bell-pincher these days. I'm a tiny bit annoyed at bell-pincher because I'm trying to not hoard more items.
