Villager resetting after 16 villager cycle?

Is it possible to plot reset to gain an old villager back after the 16 villager cycle? I've tried numerous times before and my old villagers' plots never showed up during the process. I want to try it for Rudy but I don't want to waste my time. Is it rarer for a villager's plot to show up if you've already had them, even after the 16 cycle?

You know, I want to say that there's something to it.

So Marshal moved out of my old town. And then so did 20 or 25 other villagers. Finally I had the opportunity to have a town with 8 villagers and none were Smugs. So I reset for Smugs. I spent over 70 resets with no sign of Marshal. The past two times I've done new town resets for him, he's showed up at 30 resets and 37 resets, respectively. Maybe he was never going to show up?


Or I might have just been unlucky. .-. That's always a huge possibility.

Maybe. It's really strange though. Every time I plot reset none of my old villagers EVER show up. And I've cycled through tons of them.

Perhaps you can only get them if you ask them to move in, or the odds are lower of them showing up. You should keep trying, you may at least confirm if it's possible. XD

That would SUCK because getting Rudy from another person won't be all that easy...
