Villager reset trick?

So I've read on here about being able to turn off and keep resetting to get the neighbour to move into a spot you want. Could someone please explain exactly how to do this?

From what I've heard you need to log in on a secondary character to reset. I do have a secondary character, but I've logged on as the mayor and just seen the plot, and it's in a really bad place.. Will i still be able to move it if i reset, or not? Thanks in advance

Since you already came in as the mayor, sadly no

But here's how to do it for another time!

you go to 5:58 AM the next morning and then save and quit
wait the 3-5 min
then make a new character
check where the plot is (the camp)
if you like the plot,(villager) you get a house and save with Isabelle
if you don't, you go to HOME, load the game again, make a new character, etc.

This is also know as the camp reset trick too!

This isn't needed at all. You just have to make sure when you first load up the game for the day you make a new character instead of going into and existing file.
