Villager reset trick issues

I have 8 villagers at the moment in my town and I'm expected to have a 9th move in today.

So then the first time I create a new character today for the villager reset trick, I see a plot for Charlise... I don't like her so I quit without saving. Then the next time I load up another new character I run around the town. The only problem is, I can't see any plots that have been put down!

Has this ever happened to anyone? I find it quite strange that these plots have suddenly stopped appearing, even though I have definitely seen one placed the same day.

I might add that I've been resetting the game for about 5 times now with no villager plot. Am I safe to assume that there would be no villager moving in today, despite having seen one earlier in the day?

No. The only way to confirm is to make a character with no plots around, load up mayor, and then delete the new character.

It's completely random. If you do quit this time, and then you sign on mayor. There is a chance you might get a villager plot.

Check carefully on every corner and edge, and if you 100% sure of that, save the new character. If you dont and start up with your mayor, a plot might reappear again. Yeap that's what happen to me lol.

it's def happened to me. sometimes i just move forward another day, but i've had it where it's like every two new save files there's a plot...but once you sign on any pre-existing character it automatically saves and you're stuck with wherever they plotted or whoever is trying to move in.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I didn't want to make another thread about villager plot resetting. I have a villager moving out on the 19th. If I have a dreamie in my cycling town, do I TT on the 19th or the 20th to get them to ping me? Also, the reset trick - set the date for the 20th at 5:58? Why does it have to be at 5:58?

Is your dreamie set to move? Your dreamie wont ping to move unless the game selects them to move. For the villager moving out the 19th would be their box date and they would be moved out the 20th. If you at 10 villagers on the 19th you have to wait till your at 9 villagers on the 20th to invite anyone.
The day your resetting for a villager can be anytime between 6am -5:59am. I personally reset at 10 am but that's just my preference. As long as it's a new save file any time between 6am -5:59am is good

Thanks for answering my questions faerie! My cycling town has 2 of my dreamies in it, so I'd just have to TT until one of them pings me to move on the 20th. Good thing - I was going to do it on the 19th <_<
