I have no idea what is going on! I wanted to visit Audie today, but on her door it says "I've moved out" and I'm like.... How??? She was out and about normally yesterday and I have not said yes to let her move and Isabelle has made no notice of her moving out or anything! Nothing!

I believe the one I got her from kicked her out with a normal camper that appeared on their island and I then came to pick her up. I am soooo frustrated and sad and I don't know what to do! Anyone else have tried this?? Anyone got any help for me??

Ouch. If this happened to me, I would try resetting before it autosaved. If that didn't work, since it's Audie, I would leave her plot alone and hope Nintendo can restore her during the next patch. Otherwise, your next best option is to try to boot her plot so you can at least put someone else there. I think you can do so by using an amiibo to force push her out, or a camper can randomly choose to boot her 10% of the time (1 in 10 chance it'll be her). That's all I can think of. Sorry, bud.

I tried to quickly reset my game, but it had already done the darn auto-save before then. So when I went back in, it still had the same save. I am so scared that her plot will actually be gone tomorrow;; I am scared of doing anything in my game right now, that could actually make her disappear. I wouldn't mind if she was an amiibo. Worst case I could buy her card, but she doesn't and she is so insanely hard to get;;;

I contacted Nintendo Support, but obviously they don't have any idea or know what to do, than make me report the bug and wait on an answer. I am so frustrated.

This is really concerning... are you sure the door actually says "I've moved out"? Does she show up on your map? Can you move her house with Nook or complain about her to Isabelle?

I hate to break the bad news to you but it seems like you fell victim to the unfortunate villager glitch.

The only fix people have found is to kick out that villager with an amiibo to fix the plot. When nintendo fixes this glitch I'm not sure if they will let you keep the villager so it's up to you to either kick Audie out with an amiibo or wait it out and see what happens.

The door legit says "I've moved out" which made me panic. She is still on my map though.

I don't think I dare do anything to her plot, unless I somehow can find a new Audie to replace her;;; Beg and hope a new patch can fix it and restore her. This is horrible;

What has me confused is OP said Audie was walking around just fine for a day and suddenly glitched out, I thought this glitch only happened when a villager "failed" to unbox and basically never even truly arrives to your island?

Did you TT at all? Did you do any online play? I find it really strange how she was fine for a day and then suddenly she has the glitched plot, there have not been that many reports of this happening

Nope. This glitch can happen DAYS after the villager moves in. I've seen instances where the villager moved in fine and then a few days to a week later the glitch happens. I have no clue what triggers it.

The last time I did TT was when I had to open a plot to make room for her moving in. I have not done any since and that was like... Over 1 week ago. I did no online play yesterday either.

This is extremely worrying... I thought I was fine because it's been 3 days since Beau moved in and now I'm super paranoid...

Though it does seem to be related to online play. Like when you interact with someone else's void.

Oh wow, this is honestly terrible :( I'm sorry it happened to you

Yea its scaring me because Merengue just moved in and she seems fine, I'm worried she will end up being glitched yikes!

This may be caused by TT forwards and then backwards.

I've never seen a "I moved out". They operate the same as New Leaf. One day they are in boxes, and the next day, their house is entirely gone. Impossible to get a "I moved out sign". I've had villagers move out on their own, as well as be kicked out for amiibos. Both moving instances followed the same pattern. 1 day, boxes. Another day, no house.

You normally get the "I've moved out" if you have someone come over and adopt the villager when they're in boxes. Once the person leaves your town, if you go back to the villager's house it will have that on the door (this is normal and happened in NL too). The problem is when that sign pops up without the scenario I mentioned.

The glitch you're talking about was patched, but with the patch came a lot of other glitches like the one talked about here.

I suggest checking this thread, from page 11 on they discuss this specific problem: https://www.belltreeforums.com/threads/glitches-from-the-adoption-of-villagers.480956/

I'm aware! I was talking about the new glitched plots with the "I've moved out" signs, didn't know that could happen several days after a villager has moved in and has been acting perfectly fine.

What you said is true, but what is being addressed here is a glitch sadly.

Ah whoops, yeah it can sadly happen several days after they seem to have moved in safely :(

Can you please try to recall for us:

All the villagers who have recently moved out for you and when

All the villagers who have recently moved out for the person you got her from and when

If you were able to invite Audie twice

All the instances that you played online with anyone since you invited Audie

Last one is most important.

Uff I don't recall;; I got Audie on the 7th of April. I had done TT to open a plot and I TT'ed back to normal time, after she had savely arrived. I have not done any TT since.

I have kicked out 1 villager since, using an Amiibo, to get Sprinkle. That was a few days after. I have not had any new villagers moving in or out since.

I have no idea what the activity of the other player has been; They got a regular camper and they wanted to kick out Audie to move in, so the other allowed it.

I have visited others a bit and I have had a few visitors too. I don't do a big amount of online play. The latest was a visitor two days ago.

When you invited Audie, were you able to invite her twice?

Ok so...
7th: Audie invited
8th: Audie appears in boxes
9th: Audie walks around freely
10th: ...
11th: Spinkle amiibo 1st invite
12th: Sprinkle amiibo 2nd invite
13th: Sprinkle amiibo 3rd invite and boots another villager

Does the invited amiibo villager appear the very next day in the plot for the villager who was kicked out, or how many days does it take? does it go - day 1: boot another villager, day 2: booted villager’s house says “ive moved out”, day 3: sold empty plot, day 4: amiibo villager is unboxing? I dont know the process.

The glitch version you have is extremely unusual, which is why I’m trying to figure out the timeline that triggered it.

I actually was able to invite her twice, now that you mention it!

And with amiibos, the cycle is almost the same. They kicked villager is in boxes the same day and next day, the plot says it was sold to the amiibo and they move in the following day.
