Villager Question!

So basically my boyfriend bought the game blah blah. And he is at the stage of characters coming in. Although he adopted a character yesterday and still has room left, can he adopt a villager again today? Or do you have to wait until the villager he picked up yesterday moves in?

you have to wait until the plot appears at least (the roped area) that is all. you can adopt when you see it

I also advise you to be careful when you have 9 and less villagers when you visit other people or letting people visit you since you might catch their voided villagers.
