Okay, for the sake of sounding dumb, I can't figure out what people are talking about when I see posts on Facebook asking people in groups if they have villagers in boxes of Powersaved. I thought Powersaves give you furniture, clothing and stuff, but it gives you villagers too? From the youtube videos I've seen, I thought all it does is change the save, so how do they swap villagers? What in the world are they talking about with villagers Powersaved? For those wondering, no I have no intention on ever using it, I care about my town too much to even risk it, but I have to know what in the world they're talking about.

They're probably referring to a tool called SpiderToolz, which is basically a map, town and villager editor.

No they're not. There is something you can purchase that's called a powersave. What you're talking about is completely different. You can load a villager onto the Powersave when they're im boxes, then you can give them away multiple times. I read all about it from this girl on Insagram.

As mentioned above, there is a tool called Powersave that contains a bunch of cheats/"hacks" for all sorts of games and lets you backup your save data. Since it lets you do multiple backups, you can manipulate that in a way that allows you to be able to give away the same villager an unlimited amount of times once they're boxed up, and that's against the rules on this forum. For clarification's sake, it is completely separate from SpiderTools and Leaf-whatever and all those other hacking programs(? or methods? idk) that are user-created; the Powersave it a commercially sold device. It can really screw up the "economy" here on the forums so I can see why its use is a potentially bannable offense, but other websites tend not to care who does what with it.
When the rules here say hacking is a no-no, I don't think that means we can't answer a simple question for someone, guys. I had no idea what it was when I got here either.
