Villager planting hybrids?

Carmen just planted a black rose infront of me, right next to my black rose garden...

I thought villagers couldnt plant hybrids...

Im so confused.
Is this a thing? Can they plant hybrids?

This game keeps confusing me more and more....

i didn't know they could plant hybrids O.O my villagers only plant normal flowers and that annoys me.

my villagers should plant hybrids more then. they always plant yellow flowers, which i don't even use in my town scheme. how nice of carmen! cherry has sent me pink and orange tulips before though

Then you probably never had the Beautiful Town ordinance, they do it all the time and it can be very annoying. :/

That has happened to me one time, although I don't know who planted it. Maybe only your ultimate Bffs can do it?

If that's the case, it might just have been a hybrid that grew at that spot.
@OP, are you sure there wasn't already a hybrid there and she planted a flower next to it? Usually when these 'miracles' happens they end up to be a misconception or something. If you really are sure Carmen planted it, it is probably a very rare occasion or a glitch. Did you send her black roses by any chance? Maybe she decided to plant them in town.

I've had uchi villagers mail me a hybrid before, but I've never seen them plant one!

I also don't think I have seen a villager plant a hybrid. But then again, who knows what they do when my back is turned!

This is really exciting if it's true! And I wish my villagers were as generous with planting hybrids haha. So far it's only been the normal ones, though I did get an hybrid with the mail from one of them. That excited me

That's really interesting, I've never seen that before. The closest thing to villagers involving hybrids for me was Fuchsia sending me a pink cosmo in the mail.

Makes you think... I wouldn't be surprised. If the uchis can breed hybrids and mail them to you, they're probably up late at night planting them around town.

i believe when they plant flowers they try to match it with the other flowers in the area, at least in type. i guess sometimes it applies to color too!
