Villager Pics!

Is there something special you have to do for the villagers to give you their picture? I try to talk to them a lot and and do tasks for them but I still just can't a pic from them!

After becoming VERY good friends you have a chance of getting them, either from favors or when they move away.

I have ones of; Hopper, Hans, Shari, Ankha, and Marina. I also have ones of former villagers Apollo and Tucker!

Yes, maintain high friendship. You get to the point they start handing you gifts just for the heck of it, and once in a while that gift may be a pic.

Flip gave me a pic because I delivered a gift for him from another villager. Seriously.

Fuchsia mailed me a pic for saying her house looks great. THEN she gave me a pic for doing her a favor. Yeah, two pics.

That leaves Tex and Clyde, who both gave me pics after they left.

It seems to be a bit random once they like you a lot. It took me forever to get some of the villager pictures, but other villagers just kept giving them to me all the time XD
From my experience, it seems that getting signatures in another town and giving them perfect fruit have pretty good chances of yielding a picture reward.

Yeah, going above and beyond has the bonus friendship points, so to speak, rain down on you. When they ask for a certain fruit, give them a perfect fruit. When they ask for signatures, get the signatures. When they ask to buy an item and there's an option to give it for free, do that. When they ask for any fish, get a whale shark. (Not sure on that last one but think I read it somewhere.)

try to talk to them, around 7-15 times a day!! always do the daily task for them!
also a little tip, whenever they ask for you to get them furniture, get them a rare bug or fish (shark, gold beetle, etc)!!
i got bam's pic from completing his petition!!
i have two of daisy's pic, one from giving her a perfect foreign fruit (a perfect fruit that isn't your native) and one for giving her a classic desk!!

Oh, also heard it's better to say no rather than to agree to a task you are unlikely to or can't complete. Wonder if anyone else can corroborate this.

I don't know, but I've started denying requests after reading that and it goes against my nature. I feel bad denying them, but I'm also no longer willing to participate in their turning their homes into aquariums. I turned Wolfgang down today when he asked for an oarfish.

I've been swimming in pics in Mirage lately. I always get them perfect fruit if I can, I send them letters, I get them nice, expensive Gracie furniture if it'll fit their homes, but I will only give them tabletop bugs and fish. So far, I have 1 Mallary pic, 1 Chief, 1 Phoebe, 1 Flora, 2 Lollys, 2 Antonios, 3 Faunas, and 4 Skyes!

Heh, reminds me of all the times I have an item in my pocket and try to Solid Snake my way to the house or station, and then groaning when I get caught anyway.

It seems like i get a pic once the friendship level is high plus i just finished doing something difficult for them, like catching a rare fish or getting a petition signed in anothet town.

If they want furniture, give customized. I read that helps. Great way to work on badges for that too. My basement is packed with customized furniture. They always seem wicked happy.

(It would be great. I can update my pic more often, from the photo booth, if a friendship becomes elevated.)

I wish you could hang their pictures on the walls. Would free up so much table-top space, since HHA doesn't like it when the pictures are on the floor.
I also wish you could give villagers your picture and see it in their houses.
And I want to be able to get everybody's picture (Sable, Tom Nook, Pelly and so on) not just certain special characters.

And got another pic.

Yes. In addition to Amelia giving me two (on the same day, no less), Fuchsia has also given me two within the last few weeks. For Fuchsia, the first pic she gave (mailed to me the next day) was for agreeing to visit her house and saying it looks great, and the second was after doing a favor (do not remember what, but maybe giving an asked for bug or handing over a present addressed to her).

Now I'm wondering if you can get more than two.
