What attract you to your dreamie?

Just recently, i found out that when someone giveaway a villager or auction or selling, they DO sometimes mention this villager has original furniture or not or what had change. Like I know some villager has rare furniture in their house. I don't really care that and even sometimes give them unorderable if they ask. I knew people that aim for certain villager for their furniture and when no longer can get anything, they sell, auction off the villager, i hope I am wrong in this.

I haven't heard of people getting villagers just because of their furniture but I could be wrong.
However, I know that some care about their villagers having original furniture and wearing original clothes.
Personally, I honestly couldn't care less about the furniture and/or clothes.
I end up giving my villagers a ton of furniture and clothes as a means of increasing our friendship anyway.

Some villagers carry the sloppy set so people may want them just for the opportunity to buy those rare items.

Personally I do care what the homes of my villagers look like. I try to make sure it looks decent. So it does irk me a little when I adopt a villager with fossils, fish, bugs and mis-matched furniture crammed inside their homes. But to me, part of the challenge is also making their homes look nice again so it's quite fine.

I don't really care much for villager furniture. It's not like I'll be entering their houses all the time. Mostly I love seeing them walk around doing stuff, or talking to them, stuff like that. When they ask for furniture, I do make sure it's a good one that will match the inside of their house at least. I remember giving Filbert a lot of random furniture, and I cringed when he invited me over because he's filled to the brim with lamps and chairs. xD It looked horrible. Since then I've tried my best to give them nice furniture, or when they sell stuff like their bed I send it back to them in a letter. I don't like seeing villagers without beds. D:

But yeah, I'm more about the villager itself than the furniture. xD;

I think the furniture is just a perk. Benjamin and Mott both have a lot of the sloppy set as well, for example, but neither are even remotely near "dreamie status" as Marshal is.

Personally, I've never adopted or bought any villagers from anyone and I don't think I will, but if I did, I wouldn't mind about their furniture - I understand it can be difficult to build a relationship with a villager without giving them a bunch of random stuff.
