Villager not pinging?

Yesterday Stitches told me Chevre was planning on leaving. I don't want her to move away, so I walked in front of her to see if she'd ping... She didn't. I decided I'd just try again the next day.

So I walked in front of her again today and the same thing happened..no ping. What's going on? I've talked to her a few times to see if she says anything about moving, but she never does. I don't want her to leave

Any suggestions?

Often what I do is save & quit, then immediately start up my game again. That often fixes them to start pinging me for it. It might take a couple of tries though, because sometimes they'll be indoors.

talk to her 5X save and quit. Load the game and run in front of her and she will ping
