Villager moving out glitch?

So I heard from a friend that the villager glitch via amiibo is still around? I thought they patched it? I want to know if it's still around before I kick one of my villagers out.

I read through the guide but am still confused. Can villagers glitch if you just use amiibos to kick out villagers in your own town? Like not involving anybody but yourself.

Unfortunately no, I completely forgot to mention (my bad) that there was a glitch me and a few others have come across lately regarding amiibo villagers. We haven't seen the result of the glitch yet or if we'll get glitched plots, but what's been sometimes happening is that when trying to invite an amiibo villager, theyll say theyre "packing" even though they dont meet the requirements and they end up as a glitched plot when they move in, you can see more on it here :O

See: my previous message :O Funny enough, one of the ways to fix the glitched plots is to invite an amiibo to kick out the glitched villager, but someone actually got the previously mentioned amiibo glitch WHILE trying to use the amiibo to kick out a glitched plot. It's a mess and I wouldn't recommend doing amiibo either until this is all patched out

i guess it didn't happen to me because i was kicking diva out and invited willow through amiibo and it worked. did a little time traveling but it turned out okay

thats good!! it seems like there's definitely some specific pre-requisites for that specific amiibo glitch to happen, but it's hard to tell when those requirements are met and how easy it is to get. It seems fairly rare since it hasn't been mentioned much here outside of me and a couple of others

I think the Amiibo glitches still happen but only happen when you are playing with others. As far as I know, the Amiibo glitch does not happen when it's just you moving out a villager with your Amiibo, no other people involved. I moved in two villagers with Amiibo cards, one into an empty plot and one replacing another villager. There were no issues there. I have not read anything about people having issues when doing it all on their own, mainly because the glitch involves the villager being kicked out. You're not dealing with that villager at all when it's just you- they're just going straight to the void.
