I have a question about a villager moving into your town from another town.

Earlier today my friend lend me Fang so I went to her town, talked to him, and invited to come to my town. Then 20 minutes ago i was at my cousin's town and he told me to talk to Al just cause and he just moved in.. so I did but he tricked me, Al was moving out! But Al didn't ask me to move into my town or anything, i wasn't given options as usual when you recruit villagers..

anyway my question is, would i still get fang? or does me talking to al overwrite that and Al be moving to my town instead?

(i have 9 villagers right now, my signature isn't updated)

If you're sure Al said he'd be moving into your town, I fear he will and Fang will be lost. However, I really don't understand how this could have happened without the option coming up. I haven't heard of a villager just inviting themselves before, maybe someone else can explain this. P:

Nope Al did not mention moving into my town.. I think i'll time travel a few hours and check the plot because I don't think i'm able to sleep on this haha. thanks for answering campy!

It probably didn't give the option when you were talking to Al because the game already has Fang set to go into your town and another isn't allowed.* This happened to me when I invited Ed in from the campsite and regretted it, so I got my Erik into boxes in my other town and I went and talked to him and he wouldn't bring up moving. If you didn't talk to Al about moving, you'll be getting Fang.

* - I say probably because I've heard of people asking two people to move in, and the second one overrode the first. My experience was a little different, because a campsite invite is absolutely locked in by the game.

Ah, I think I misunderstood; I thought you meant that Al said he'd be moving into your town without asking you first. But you're saying he didn't mention anything about moving into your town, right? Then I think you're safe. :)

Let me know if you find Fang's plot!

Now that Fang is successfully plotted in my town, my worries are gone! Thank you Campy and Ras for replying to this thread! :)
