Villager move in glitch??

Sooo today I was searching for a new villager w/ my nmts as one does and found one of my faves drago and got him to take up the empty plot on my island and then also noticed my campsite had another villager(boone) i wanted so i got him to boot out someone, and then since I was a few days in the future I then changed the day back to the current day figuring I could bypass the various sessions of move ins/move outs and enjoy some new company
But! boone's house exterior is the same as the previous villager who lived there and the sign on the door reads that he is outside- still haven't seen him roaming around and ive searched high and low
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to fix this?

This is a known glitch that can affect all camper force outs.

It's usually caused by messing with the "plot sold" day. TTing forwards and skipping the plot sold day, TTing backwards, and even just not loading the save file on the "plot sold" day can cause the glitch.

Nothing bad has been reported from the glitch, but there's no way to fix it without re-inviting the villager.

Yes this is a glitch the same thing happened to me with Diana having knox exterior and i didn't see her until i tt a month or two ahead.

The only advice people can sadly give is to never time travel via campsite if they box someone. Which is pretty bad if you find a dreamie in the future you can't change the time back until they fully move in. I have to move Diana out but there exterior will return to normal if someone else adopts them.
