Has anybody else felt like villagers interact with you far less than New Leaf? I used to love when a villager would ask me for a fruit, or to bury a time capsule, or play hide and seek... You used to be able to have a villager "ping" you a lot! It used to happen several times an hour, if I remember correctly. Now it seems like once a day is the limit, and definitely not every day. I've gone days without villagers even looking my way when I walk by!
I just miss doing that, because there was something wholesome about your villagers actually wanting you around and making you feel like you're more than just another NPC on the island.
Additionally... didn't campsite villagers in New Leaf have unique items you could obtain? I know you could get them to buy items from you for a lot, but the items campsite villagers give now are... Bleh. I pass it up every time. At least all the items are free from them, but still, it's mostly junk from Nook's that nobody wants.
