Hi! My mother got Fauna off a mystery island but didn’t want to keep her. She’s in boxes to move on to the island, can we give her to someone else before she fully moved onto the island?

No I don’t think that is possible. Once you invite her, there’s no changing it.

You'll have to wait until she wants to leave or kick her out with amiibo cards.

You'll have to wait until she asks to leave. Sometimes you can get lucky and newly moved-in residents will want to leave after only a week or sometimes a little more... at least that's what I've realized
