Villager Imitating Each Other

Have your villagers kept saying a different villagers catch phrase before? My Muffy and Apollo talked and after that Muffy uses Pah instead of nightshade. Why's that happen anyway? She use to give me medicine every time I got stung by me and that changed too.

Yes when villagers talk to each other, sometimes they will copy catch pharses. Sometimes they copy shirts as well! One time Fang copied Felicity's mimimi. It was weird to see him meowing around xD

Yeah, it's like a best friend thing.
Lucky and Cookie take up after each other, as of now, but Lucky is also going around saying Merengue's catchphrase.

I love when villagers start using catchphrases from other villagers or become twinsies with another villager by wearing matching shirts! I remember marshal and beau in my old town wore matching shirts! It was so adorable!

Yeah, it sometimes works in weird ways. When Cesar was in my town, he copied Bunnie's catchphrase, so there was a huge cranky gorilla running around saying "tee-hee"

Unrelated, but Lily and Ribbot switched catchphrases between the Gamecube and DS installments. They haven't fixed that since. Maybe in Animal Crossing 5, they should make it back to normal.

yes! i always found it kind of silly because i would give a cat villager a catchphrase like "meow", and another villager of a different species would copy it haha
