Okay, so I have a spot for my new villager to plot in. I've been resetting all morning and wondered why they weren't going in the spot. Well, yesterday I decided I wanted to turn a path that was 1 wide to a path that was 2 wide. The space is also next to the town hall. I figured out that only left 4 spaces for the house.

Is there a way to TT back in time or did I royally screw myself here? I have no experience with TTing so sorry this is a dumb question.

if it's the day the villager is plotting down, and you want to change something from the day before w/o letting them move in yet, you can change the date one day back using system settings (not isabelle!!!! this part is important- if you change the time w/ isabelle, the game counts all time traveling, no matter if its forward or backwards, as moving a day forward, and the villager will plot anyway. if you change them with system settings, it actually goes back to yesterday and the villager will not have plotted yet). then, you can load up an existing character w/o fear and change whatever you want in town and then save. then exit the game and change the time with system settings back to the correct date and the villager should be wanting to plot again. now you can plot reset again and your changes will be in place

this trick has saved me many a time during plot resetting :') hope that helps!!

Oh wow thank you so much! I've been trying to plot reset and not once has it plotted in the place I want it to, despite being able to hold a house. But I am determined!
