Villager House Placement Help!

So I've watched a few videos that have instructed to just make a new save file every time until the house plot is in a spot you like but for me, I've done it at least 5 or 6 time already and his house is still in the same spot.

That happens sometimes. They can be particularly stubborn. When I tried to plot set Chief he chose the same spot or space above about 20 times in a row.. Just keep trying they with move eventually. ^^

when you logged on for the first time that day did you log into your mayor or did you start a new character? because it's staying put if the first character you got on was your mayor

i did log into my mayor but i didnt save. do you think it has something to do with that or is effluo right?

If you logged in as your mayor then the spot is saved. It has been in the exact spot everytime you said. Once you load you game as mayor the spot is saved.

unless you kick the villager out and redo with a new house/villager

and then if you want back you'll need to kick 16 more villagers out first

its just behind my house and later on when i set down on a path, i think itll look weird ><

maybe make that more of a mini plaza area with it having paths connected to it instead of a straight-up path?

Yes sometimes they like to plot in a certain area with slight variations in placement. Bam landed in a horrible spot for me I was very upset but I managed to work around it. I really need to update my dream town I hope that you can make it work.
