villager hasn't moved in [over 10 days]

i've been constantly tting 1 day forward for someone to move in, but i have the same villagers.
I haven't been playing AC for 5 days, so if Merengue moved out on Saturday or so, shouldn't someone have moved in already?

I need to keep cycling, i've abandoned AC and I now have more time so I need to catch up and get all my villagers out in 3 days or it'll be a total waste.

If you have eight villagers, no one will move out. A bit strange that a ninth hasn't moved in by now though!

i know ^^ thats the point, it's fixed now, but why did it take so much time for them to move in?

Oops sorry, I misread. I guess it might take longer if you are inactive, but I have no idea.
