So I just did a random errands for a villager (a villager requested I give a gift to a different villager that they left at their house) and my reward for it was candy. It's not even October on my game. (It's June, since that's when the bushes I have are blooming.)
I just thought it was strange, this is the first time I've seen this as a random reward for an errand like that.
This happened to me once too, Roscoe gave me a candy as a reward for something. I thought it was so cool I kept the candy and still have it in my house lol
Back on Easter I got lots of candy from Zipper and since I had no use to them I gave them to villagers on letters. Later, my rewards for doing favors were the candy, they gave it back! So as long as it's inside the villager's "pockets", who knows when it might arise...
Huh, I didn't know you could get candy from a villager when it wasn't near Halloween. I think I have only received it as a reward before in October. Villagers are weird. Sometimes they give you a shirt for finding a lost item and other times they give you a pic for giving them fruit from a tree they are standing next to.
