So,

On about my 5th day on the Island, Iggly runs up to me and hands me a gift - it was a Utility Pole which I promptly sold.

So I checked my catalogue and noticed it was an item that couldn't be ordered. I wasn't sure why until I just noticed it in the Nook Miles items after the tent upgrade.

Now, I didn't think villagers would give you gifts of this nature. I thought they'd only give you generic items that could be ordered through your catalogue.

Anybody else been handed gifts like this?

One of my villagers gave me a Utility Pole early on too which I also promptly sold.

Just because it's in the Nook Mileage system doesn't make me want it though. It's still ugly whether it's a Nook Miles item or not haha!

You're right, it's not a pleasant looking item for sure. I tend to hoard everything you can't reorder though.

Katt gave me a fountain. It is currently in my house storage because I was moving around my museum. I can put it back now!
