I was recently told that time traveling backwards negates the friendship earned before that time. Say I give a villager a fruit at 8pm and then TT back to noon, would that get rid of the friendship I earned with the villager?

I did a search and couldn't find my answer, so I thought someone in here could help me out. Thanks!

I don't know about that, but one way to tell if you are close friends with a villager is to get your microphone out, and shout their name next to them, but not right in their ear, just enough to see them, and if they wave and smile once they see you it means you're good friends. If your friendship isn't as high, they'll do something else, I don't remember what though.

I don't think so. I believe the only thing that happens to friendship with TT is that if you don't talk to your villagers for a while (ie, time traveling a year in the future), they'll lose friendship with you. I think it's a week or more that will cause you to lose friendship.

I don't believe that's the case, I actually can't really recall any negative effects from time travelling backwards in time. Going forwards does of course have consequences though.

I knew about the megaphone trick, that part's pretty useful :D Thanks for everyone's responses, that is a big relief. I don't time travel excessively (unless I really need to cycle someone out), but was really worried that doing requests for villagers and then TTing back (sometimes for fish or bugs available earlier) would erase all that I'd done. Glad that's not the case!

I dont think so, but report back to us if you find out otherwise, please. I would be curious.
