Villager friendship guide

I have done that (Judy now has a rainbow soft-serve lamp in a formerly empty corner of her home and Sprocket has a ton of workout equipment). It's not exactly like I have a choice in the matter though; if nothing being sold matches, then nothing being sold matches. I'm looking for ideas on days when my Nooklings aren't selling anything viable.
I've taken to crafting items that match the aesthetic. Perhaps customize them, too.

Wow this is great! I had no idea gifting furniture made friendship go way up. I've ruined a few houses already so maybe I'll consider it.

Math time! I will exclude more random elements like catching fleas and quests. I also don't see anything about preferred gifts giving bonus points. Friendship starts at 25, so it takes 5 days before you can gift things. I'm not sure if the first time you talk to them counts.

If you only talk to a villager once every day, it will take 125 days for a chance to get a photo. The chance will max out at 230 days.
If you give a piece of wrapped fruit every day as well, it will take 31 days for a chance to get a photo. That chance will max out at 49 days.
If you give a piece of wrapped furniture instead, it will take 23 days to be able to get a photo. The chance is maxed out at 36 days.

I think I will keep giving my villagers fruit, as that is much easier, and I personally don't feel the difference is that big. As long as you keep giving a gift that is at least 250 bells, you can get the photo eventually

Whatever floats your boat. I personally don't want my villagers getting rid of the nice furniture they were blessed with and replacing them with generic wood stuff. Most of the DIYs I've gotten are for outdoors. Maybe for ones with ugly houses like Huck, but I like Freya, Wolfgang, and Fang's houses too much to do that to them.
