No you dont. If you were really dedicated, you could get an entire town of just one personality.

There are some things ppl have been saying about the game eventually trying to give you villagers with missing personalities, but if you get your villagers from other towns/campsite, randomly generated villagers wont show up.

I'm pretty sure when the villagers all packed up you go to that persons town and convince the villager to move to yours.
