• Italicized villagers are not for trade, please do not ask!
• Plain villagers are up for trade, but I'm not necessarily trying to get rid of them.

In two of my cases, a villager of mine wanted to move and I accidentally told them to leave. Time traveling back in time about a week prevented them from moving. They totally forgot they were planning to leave. Not sure how far back you would have to time travel, but a week back for me worked.

Also, if the villager hasn't packed up yet, you can talk to them again the next day (as long as they're not packed) and they'll want your opinion a second time.
