Villager Cycling process after the update

so I've picked up cycling because someone asked for a villager... but I am realizing the usual process of TTing back 1 year and 5 days from the day the last villager moves out, then 1 year, then the 5 days to that same day doesn't make another villager go into boxes... I need to do an extra like two days to make it work.

anyone else notice this?

A villager now takes 10 days from the day of the first possible ping to move out. Maybe try 1 year, then 10 days and see if it works.

I was messing with it and it worked with 7 days

so TT back 1 year 7 days
TT 1 year
TT 7days and got another in boxes!

I looked around online too... I didn't realize they changed how many days it gives you to find villagers moving out! I love this update more and more
