I was reading up on some guides for cycling villagers and I was wondering if this method would make more sense?
1. TT forward a couple weeks and start a new character to find out who's moving, if it's someone you don't like/want to move then load up your mayor.
2. If it's someone you do like/want to stay quit the game and TT back to the original date with your mayor and wait for their ping.
3. In a few days a new villager will want to move, repeat steps 1 and 2.
Plus if you don't play the game for a week and you are worried someone may have moved just start a new character and see who moved and set the time back to the last day you played and convince them to stay. You can then TT forward to the current date without worrying about someone moving again because only one animal can move out at a time and you already convinced the animal to stay.
Make sure you always use the DS clock setting though. Talking to Isabelle is different, with the DS settings the game will think that it is still the same day as you last played.
