Villager Crafting Glitch???

ok is this new or already established?

Coco was crafting smth. I decided to go up to her obviously. NOW UNLESS MY EYES ARE PLAYING TRICKS ON ME, SHE WAS DEFINITELY CRAFTING.

except when I spoke to her, it was like a normal conversation. I recommended a book to her ab Nook- and didn't even get to know what she was crafting.

TT 1 day ahead and Marina is crafting a terrarium and i get the DIY.

so why did it not work for Coco today? is this a thing? or is there like a window you miss?

Sometimes this is a problem when someone has visited and left quietly (used the minus key to leave). Logging out of the game and reloading it usually gets them crafting again. The only other time when I have come across this is when I have come in just before the hour changes, when they were just about to finish crafting. Do either of those scenarios sound plausible?
