Villager Clothing

I may or may not have found a way to force them into wearing certain clothing!

I sent Maple 4 bear shirts at once, and the next day she was wearing it.

Maybe somebody try this and see if it works?

Villagers can have only 3 shirts in their house. If you send a villager a next one he/she should wear it. That's what I'm currently doing now for Cesar .

It's not 100%, but it's a pretty strong method. I've failed with five shirts and had success when I sent 6+. If they display one, you just buy it next time they ask you over!

I gave julian a blue argyle shirt for his birthday, and I tried to get merengue to wear a pink argyle shirt but she put it in her house instead

I don't know, I keep sending Flurry like 5 nebula shirts every day and she either puts them in her house or...
*sniff* throws them away. ;-; She's wearing this hella ugly shirt right now and it makes me upset...

That's a good little trick.I'll have to try this when I see one of my villagers wearing clothing that doesn't look right on them.

Yep. Fang had two of a certain shirt. I'm not sure I sent them to him, though. I just remember them both being there.

uh, there's a really easy way to do this, actually!

step 1: fill your inventory with all of your tools.
step 2: get the shirt you want to put on said desired villager.
step 3: fill the rest of your inventory with seashells and/or flowers.
step 4: find the villager. (if you can't, save and quit)
step 5: talk to them until they request your tee.
step 6: if they don't wear it once they ask for it, reset and repeat.

I don't mean off. He is currently wearing Scale-Suit Armor! I want him to change INTO an Imperial Shirt! I got it in my inventory but he won't take it!
